Barraclough and Stiles Opticians are pleased to have been able to support the cyclists from pompey2pompeii on their intrepid journey of 1500 km.
After hearing about the charity ride in aid of AGSD (the Association for Glycogen Storage Disease UK) managing Director, Jeremy Heynes, managed to persuade their main supplier, Rodenstock UK, that it would be a good idea to help them in their quest to raise £60,000 by kitting out each rider with a pair of cycling spectacles from sports eye-wear specialists UVEX. The intrepid riders set out from Portsmouth on Saturday 10th September and had their official send off from Hastings on Sunday 11th. They hope to complete the three weeks after leaving Portsmouth.
In addition to supplying the eyewear all six Barraclough and Stiles stores are getting involved by donating any payments made for spectacle repairs or adjustments carried out "in house" to the charity between now and the end of September.
